# Feed

> See what Prism has found in your accounts, and clear the items that do not need you.

The Feed is where Prism puts everything that is waiting for someone. Patterns are things Prism has noticed about an account, such as a relationship going quiet or a deal picking up. Alerts come from your monitors.

## Before you start

There is nothing to set up for patterns. Prism reads the activity already in your workspace and looks for new patterns each night. Alerts only appear once you have [a monitor](/products/prism/monitors).

Tenant Owners, Workspace Admins and Workspace Members can dismiss items.

## Work through the Feed

Select **Feed**. Items waiting for someone are on **Needs Action**, and items that have been dealt with move to **Done**. Use **Patterns** or **Alerts** to see one kind at a time, or **All** for everything.

Each item shows how serious it is, such as **INFO** or **WARNING**, and when it arrived. A pattern also shows the account it is about, a summary, and a percentage for how sure Prism is. An alert shows the monitor that raised it.

## Dismiss an item

    On **Needs Action**, find the item you do not want to act on.

  <Step title="Dismiss it">
    Select **Dismiss** on the item.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Say why">
    Choose the reason that fits best.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a note if you want">
    If it helps, add a one-line note.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Select **Dismiss**.
  </Step>

The item leaves **Needs Action** and shows on **Done**. Next, [look up an account](/products/prism/accounts).

## Troubleshooting

  Nothing is waiting right now. Prism looks for new patterns each night, and alerts appear when one of your monitors fires.
