Inbox gathers the replies to your outreach so you can answer them without leaving Pulse, one conversation per contact. Drafts holds messages that are written and waiting for you to check them, such as the ones Prism suggests. Drafts of campaign messages stay on their campaign page. The numbers next to each in the sidebar show what needs you.

Before you start

Replies reach your inbox through your Gmail, and drafts are sent from it. Connect Gmail under Account settings, and turn on Enable reply detection.

Reply to a message

An open conversation, with the reply box and its translation controls below it.
Use All, Awaiting, Replied and Sent to filter the list. Awaiting holds conversations where your contact has not replied yet. If your workspace translates outgoing messages, a reply needs a current translation before it can be sent, and the language picker below the reply box sets the language.
1

Open the conversation

Select Inbox, then select a conversation on the left.
2

Write your reply

Type in the reply box at the bottom.
3

Send

Select Send.
Your reply now shows in the conversation. Next, read a message in your own language.

Read a message in your own language

If your workspace translates outgoing messages and a contact has an Email language different from your own content language, Pulse translates their messages into your language when you open the conversation.
1

Open the conversation

Select Inbox, then select the conversation.
2

Translate a message if it is not already

If a message still shows Translate, select it.
The message now shows in your language. Your content language is set in your profile. Next, check the drafts waiting for you.

Approve a draft

A draft open for editing, with its subject, message, translation controls and the Save, Discard and Send buttons.
My drafts lists your own drafts. Assigned to me appears when someone passes a draft to you, and Tenant Owners and Workspace Admins also see All team drafts. If your workspace translates outgoing messages, translate the draft before you send it.
1

Open the draft

Select Drafts, then select a draft on the left.
2

Check it

Read the message.
3

Edit it if needed

If you need to, edit it.
4

Save your changes

To keep your changes without sending, select Save.
5

Drop a draft you do not want

If you do not want the draft, select Discard.
6

Send it

Select Send.
The draft leaves the list, and a sent draft shows in Inbox. Next, see where your contacts stand.
Press Ctrl and Enter, or Cmd and Enter on a Mac, to send a draft from the keyboard.

Send a message in another language

If your workspace translates outgoing messages, you write in English and Pulse sends the message in another language. Pulse only sends a message once it has a translation of exactly what you wrote.
1

Open the draft

Select Drafts, then select the draft.
2

Choose the language

Below the message, use the language picker if the draft should go out in a different language from the one shown.
3

Translate it

Select Translate preview.
4

Check the translation

Read the translation before you send it.
5

Send it

Select Send.
Pulse sends the translated message. Next, see where your contacts stand.

Troubleshooting

If sending shows “Gmail authorization expired or missing”, connect Gmail again, then send again. If a draft says “A current translation is required before sending”, select Translate preview, read the translation, then send again. If Pulse says “The text or language changed. Translate again before sending”, you changed the message or its language after translating it. Select Translate preview again, then send again.
